Deanna Rose Farmstead

Last Saturday was such a beautiful day and the last free Saturday we'll have for a long time (soccer season is upon us again), so we decided to hit the farmstead. We haven't been there in a long time and this was Eden's first trip. The kids had a great time. And lo and behold, who do we run into but the Decker clan. We still can't believe that this is a free park.

First Day of School

Where did the summer go? It just doesn't seem long enough anymore. The kids headed back to school and were pretty exciting about it. Well, I should say that Lydia was VERY excited and Braeden grumbled a tiny bit. However, once Braeden found out that he got the new male teacher, he was ready to go. He did tell me that he just doesn't really like grade school, but he knows he'll LOVE high school and college because then he'll get to pick his courses. He is SO his father's son. Lydia just couldn't wait to get back into the swing of school. She loves school, but she really loves the socializing that comes with being in school. She's SO her mother's daughter.

Eden is 6 months!

Eden was 6 months old on August 6. It's amazing how quickly she's changing these days. She had her well check last week and was so great getting those mean shots. She weighs 15 1/2 lbs and is 26 1/2 in long. She's just about the same size that Lydia was at this age and looks so much like her big sister. After a couple of fussy days, I finally felt her 1st tooth trying to cut through. It still isn't in, but she seems to be feeling better. Eden is eating a variety of foods and doesn't seem to be too picky. She does, however, scream between each bite because I can't seem to feed her quickly enough. Her favorite foods are avocado, green beans, prunes and pumpkin.
